Must-see markets this Spring

Spring has finally started, and with the arrival comes the amazing markets; fresh produce, organic eats and unique foods to lure in the food lovers of Cape Town. So if you’re interested in exploring the delicious market cuisine, here are a few to add to your must-see list:

Over a hundred stores occupy The Neighbourgoods Market; you can find anything from local farmers, bakers, micro enterprises and talented young chefs. This massive organic market is not only there for you to enjoy the tasty food, but many people say it is the perfect meeting point for friends to gather, have fun and enjoy the community.
The Neighbourgoods Market is open every Saturday from 09:00 – 14:00.

Now this Market is simply my favourite, once you have experienced the creative energy and vibrant cultures together in one place you will want to go back again and again. The Bay Harbour Market not only offers a huge variety of mouth-watering eats, but also many different stalls where you can buy clothing, handmade goods and pottery.
The Bay Harbour Market is open every Friday from 17:00 – 21:00 and every Saturday and Sunday from 09:30 – 16:00.

This market is definitely one to fall in love with it is perfect for a family outing, whether you decide to check out the playful kids zone for the children, enjoy the live music or indulge in the great foods, it is most certainly a market to visit. If you’re a fashion lover or designer make sure to see the fashion market that is hosted once a month on Saturday morning.
The City Bowl Market on Hope is open Thursday from 16:30 – 20:30 and Saturday from 09:00 – 14:00
